Valentine's day - gifts for the girlfriend?

This is our first Valentine's Day together and I was wondering what girls expect or want on Valentine's day. I should probably add, my girlfriend is not a low maintenance girl, by any means so I dont know if flowers and chocolate would cut it, and she works at a spa, so I dont know if doing something along those lines would be very good either.

If she is "high maintenance" then you know what you gotta do! A dozen perfect red roses sent to the spa. And you later, at her door, with a piece of jewelry and some Godiva chocolates. This is the time of year when most guys wish they had low maintenance girlfriends!

Reply:Use your brain, create something from the brain/heart, that will touch her heart. Do whatever you do well, and make it all about her, chicks eat that stuff up
Reply:all girls would want a ring, but if your not at that point in the relationship .. i'd go with something she can wear and remember everyday.. like a necklace, bracelet, earrings.. however never buy a girl a friendship ring that just shows your not ready for the big jump.
