id like to send my bf some flowers for our 5th year anniv. we live 10,000miles away from each. he told me not to get him anything but id like to surprise him, u know. so im realy not prepared bec i just thought about this a few days ago and i guess this is my last resort. but im seeing him this august and i%26#039;ll give him my real gift. i just want him to have something on the day itself. what kind and what color would be ok for him? i was thinking about red roses or probably tulips, but im so not sure about this. thanks so much!!!

I think that%26#039;s a lovely gift - that way he knows you%26#039;re thinking of him on The Day.

My suggestion would be to think about what every flower means (they all have symbolic meanings that you can look up online - red roses mean love, for instance, while white roses mean friendship). I%26#039;d also think about the types of flowers, when they bloom, where they%26#039;re from, and so on. You could create a chaotic bouquet of all kinds of different flowers, with each flower having symbolic meaning only for the two of you.

Did you like to hike together? Include some wildflowers. Is he your best friend? White roses. The love of your life? red roses. You get the idea. Just use your imagination, he%26#039;ll love it.

PS, A man is secure enough to appreciate flowers from his girlfriend. A boy thinks getting flowers is %26quot;gay%26quot; and worries what his friends think.

Reply:Guys don%26#039;t care what kind of flowers you send. It really is the thought that counts because we don%26#039;t care about getting flowers. He%26#039;ll think it%26#039;s sweet though
Reply:I personally wouldnt like flowers, but you two are madly in love with each i presume and he%26#039;ll love anything you get him because it shows you care for him. The only gift you can give him that he%26#039;ll truly appreciate is love and he has that already :). I think you shouldnt go too overboard with flowers but instead get him something relating to something he has an interest in. Unless he actually likes flowers.
Reply:Personally agree with you.red roses.
Reply:send him a gift card if he likes flowers he is gay and in a relationship w/ a dude where ever he is
Reply:Flowers for a man? HA!
Reply:This is a difficult one. I am a metrosexual guy and i wouldnt mind at all to get flowers from my fiance! Giving flowers is more for the thought then the actual plant itself. Try to pick some flowers that would be a little more masculine... im not sure how possible that would be but do your best. Make sure theres a card with somthing written from you.

He will love them because there from you!

And good luck with your long distance relationship, i know how it is... although, my fiance only lives 2500 miles away.

Email me if you would like to talk about it at all, i know how rough it can be.
Reply:A nice note and a simple gift would be better. And his friends wil make fun of him less. Not saying he wouldn%26#039;t appreciate the flowers, but his guy friends will deffinitly joke on him if his girlfreind sends him flowers.
