Thank you gifts to our parents???

My fiance and I want to get our parents a nice thank gift to present to them the night of the rehearsal. Our parents are both divorced, so we would be buying 4 gifts. However, my father has NOT contributed to the wedding at all...My step-dad and my future in laws are contributing alot to us from, flower making, paying to the rehearsal dinner, to helping the the wedding cost in general. We want to get them something nice, but don%26#039;t want to spend alot of money either. Not trying to be cheap, but we want to show our appreciation in a good way as well (if that makes sense).

Thank you gifts to our parents???
WOw, how great it was to see a message where someone wanted help expressing their thanks!

A handwritten note would be great along with a gift card to a restaurant where they like to eat or for a class at their local community center, maybe t time at the golf course or whatever is within your means and try to spend the same on each one-about $25-$50 depending on your budget. The exception to this might be your dad as he is not contributing financially but he did contribute immensely by helping in your conception. Maybe give him something for $25 and everyone else $50.

Do what feels right for you as no one will know what you did specifically but you

Have a great life together
Reply:Are there any great shows coming to your town at the opera house or a night at a dinner theater. If they are friends; maybe they could all go together. If you wanted to spend more; maybe a Broadway show in N.Y.C.

I don%26#039;t know of any individual gifts or how close they live to NY.

Happy a great wedding and a very happy marriage.
Reply:Give them a picture of you and your spouse on your wedding day in a really nice frame. I also liked someone else%26#039;s idea of a really nice handwritten note, how thoughtful.
Reply:It was common in Shakespeare%26#039;s day that the engaged would bless the parents with a cornucopia of delicately scented dried flowers or herbs to freshen their homes during the festive occasion.
Reply:How about spending 100 or less on each parent.. Make a nice basket and fill it will a few gift certificates, Maybe to the movies, to there favorite restaurant, and some candy.. They would appreciate that..

If you don´t like that, then try buy them a nice bottle of wine for each.. something that they can enjoy after the wedding. and maybe for all four you will spend less them 200 dollars..

Congratulations and Take care..

Reply:I believe there isn%26#039;t a better gift to your parents who truly love you other then something that comes straight from your heart. How about making a collage with both pictures of you and your parents and some nice words/thoughts, kinda like a timeline from you were young till now you are all grown up. Although this will be time consuming and require some creativity, but I think your parents will apperciate it.
Reply:you can get great gift with a nice engraved message from

I would go with a classic 4x6 frame with your names and wedding date.
Reply:make little gift baskets with things like candy,or stationary that u could get at the dollar store =]
Reply:is it passable to make something like mugs or pottery candelabras something engrave able oriental trading look threw there things you might find something in there that is affordable yet elegant
Reply:there%26#039;s nothing like a heart-felt thank you note. you%26#039;d be surprised at how it makes someone feel. Just write it from the heart and mean every bit of it. It%26#039;ll show in your letter.I%26#039;d write the thank you.. and then get them dinner certificates or buy them a nice gift basket like the other girl said. I think something like that would b sweet.
