Is it possible to love someone that you have only talked with (for over a year) via the phone and net?

I find myself falling in love with a very wonderful man that I have only chatted with over the net and by phone. He calls me every other day and I call him on the days he doesn%26#039;t call me. We talk anywhere from 20 minutes to 45 minutes (long distance). He sends me wonderful gifts, such as flowers, gift baskets, electronical items, etc.

He and I are planning to meet for the first time later this year. I am excited about meeting him, but nervous at the same time. My heart is happy when talking with him, but my stomach has butterflies about meeting him. Let me know what you think about this.

I don%26#039;t think you can truly love someone you have never met in person because it is easy for a total psycho and misfit to become the smoothest Cassanova behind the keyboard or on the phone. Sounds to me more like you%26#039;re falling in love with the mental image you%26#039;ve built of this man. Unfortunately this does not mean that he truely is the right one for you or that you two could really enjoy a good relationship.

My best advice to you is to wait and see how things turn out after you%26#039;ve met this man in person and have gotten in a few dates IN PERSON.
Reply:Yes it is very possible. Sometime in the near future sthe 2 of u should make an effort to meet at at a location some where in the middle of were the 2 of you reside and proceed from there.
Reply:It%26#039;s possible to think you love someone you%26#039;ve never met before, but it%26#039;s not possible to love someone until you get to know them. Knowing them is what makes you love them.
Reply:yeah i think you could fall in love over the phone or net... cuz maybe you and him are meant to be!!
Reply:Wow! That%26#039;s pretty scarey. How do you know he is who he says he is? He could be anyone and be telling you anything!? Don%26#039;t meet him alone...meet in a mall or some place public to talk and tell a friend or family member about your meeting him there so they will at least know in case anything would happen. Maybe even take a friend with you to meet him and they can give you their opinion of him too.
