guys,,,, im going out with a guy for the past one year...we both love each other..but he hasnt give me a gift i like...i got him really branded good stuff...but he only got me clothes...even for the valentines day he didnt give me a single flower even:( today is our first year anniversary...thought he will give me a ring but he told me he need more time to collect a lot of money to get a really good ring without giving a cheap one to me...What am i suppose to do?? I am also a girl who expects gifts from my guy...i dont expect a big gift from him just small things will mak me fine,,,but he loves me truly and he is really serious....what should i do???please help me........................

many guys are very practical, they don%26#039;t see the point in buying flowers on valentine%26#039;s day, they don%26#039;t see the point in buying another pair of shoes (when you already have one pair to wear) or in getting another hand bag that is the same size as the one that you already have.
You%26#039;ve got to teach them, you%26#039;ve got to tell him that you%26#039;d like him to get you gifts once in awhile but little gifts that make you feel that he loves you.
Finances could be another reason why he has not gotten you anything big, if he%26#039;s earning enough then maybe he%26#039;s just thrifty. You can talk to him about this but there is a chance that you may have to learn to live with it if he does not change. Then you%26#039;ve got to decide if this thing that you want outweighs the other strengths that he has.
Personally, I think that buying gifts for people is a form of sacrificial love, it means we are willing to give up our hard earned money to make that someone feel special. I learnt that late in life, so there is a chance that he may change.

Reply:gifts shouldn%26#039;t have to be part of a relationship. i care more about how he treats me. i appreciate things like cooking me dinner over a flower that will die in 2 days. and i don%26#039;t get your question about what should you do? are you talking about for the ring? wait for the one he gets you. he%26#039;s saving up to get you a nice ring because you like your gifts!
