Moms and pregnant women, are there any gifts your partner gave you during pregnancy that you really loved?

Are there any gifts that you received during your pregnancy that you really loved or appreciated? If so, what was it, who gave it and how far along were you?

Anything as simple as a card or flowers, but that were really touching, unexpected, well thought out or given at the perfect time.

I%26#039;m an expectant father and looking for gift ideas for my wife. I%26#039;m also working on a book and blog for expectant fathers (http://blog.almostadad.com ) on what to expect during pregnancy and ways to help your wife or partner. Any suggestions you could offer would help other fathers-to-be take better care of pregnant women.

Please pass the survey along to any expectant dads and ask them to fill out the expectant father survey at the top.

Thanks!

Bill

Pay for her to go get a massage! And a manicure or pedicure if she%26#039;s into that. Pedicures are great late in pregnancy when you can%26#039;t reach your toes any more! LOL

ALSO....A U-shaped pregnancy pillow is awesome. Or just a regular body pillow. If you%26#039;re really creative and thoughtful, you could make a scrapbook of your lives together up to this point. Then present it to her as %26quot;going into the next chapter%26quot; of your lives. Just pamper her in general. Back rubs, foot rubs, draw her a bath. Stuff like that. Oh, and you can stash little cards or notes to her in places she%26#039;ll randomly stumble upon. Like in the fridge, in her make up drawer, taped to her steering wheel, etc.

You%26#039;re a good husband! Mine could take a lesson from you.

=)
Reply:Warn you about mood swings

Try not to react to it much, like my husband did.

Its natural for women to feel low at times - to many hormones going wild especially when body is totally changing. It doesnt help when partner doesnt understand, and go stroppy too.

So thoughtful of you to buy her a gift. awww

Give like a spa treatment. It will do her lot good, the relaxation, and aching muscles, soothing music etc.

Releases stress

Oh, i didnt get anything :-(

Husband not really romantic, and had lots of arguments during preganancy, and cuz of that i was constant feling low
Reply:The first things I received were some items from my bf%26#039;s ex-girlfriend (they had a child together too). Anyway, even though they came from someone I didn%26#039;t care for, I was totally grateful and they were really useful. They were a crib mobile and a baby monitor. Not sentimental or anything, but definitely helpful. I was really touched by a basket I got at my baby shower. My grandma and some aunts gave me a chenille blanket (wrapped a big gift in it instead of wrapping paper, and fastened with cloth diaper pins, very creative!), and a basket of bath goodies for myself! Good stuff, from Victoria%26#039;s Secret! I totally didn%26#039;t expect anything like that, so it was really nice that they were so thoughtful of me in addition to bringing baby gifts. The other thing I got were flowers in the hospital after having my daughter. My bf gave me a vase of 3 roses, which were the biggest, most open red roses I had ever seen, and my mom gave me a bouquet with a card that said how proud she was of me. That one really meant a lot, I wouldn%26#039;t have expected that either. It made me feel really good.
Reply:my partner got my a foot spa and it is the best especially when you get a tummy %26amp; you start feeling pressure on them poor pregnant feet, it was the first gift i didnt have to tell him to get me..LOL .. he thought to get it all by himself..he is a great guy %26amp; and dad
Reply:my husband bought me a new digital camera so I%26#039;d have it to take tons of pictures when our son was born.
Reply:i was about 6weeks when my parten gave me a ring to share the speical moment
Reply:We did not have a lot of extra cash when I was pregnant with my youngest son. My other half was wonderful he would rub my back, and help a lot more with our oldest child so I could rest and he was just there for me through the mood swings morning sickness and the whole nine yards. Him just being there at my beck and call was the best gift he could have gave me.
