Am I victimizing myself? I moved to the us for the first time 8 months ago from Eastern Europe.....?

I have recently visited a nearby zoo, and I was completely stunned at the ostrich exhibit. There was a beautiful, tall, majestic ostrich named Tilulu. I want to get to know her! I want her to know how much I love her so--But alas! I have no idea of means of doing so. How can I tell my sweet Tilulu of my adorement? I have fallen in love with her tallness, her beautiful feathers, her charming squawk, and her long legs. She is everything and more that I want in a woman--and I have no way to tell her. Ladies, do you ever feel a GUT LEVEL attraction for guys who constantly kiss up to you and act like wussies?
I recently got out of a long relationship and am trying to be successful with women. Without going into too much detail I believe success with women is derived from being good at social skills in general. I also believe a calm, confident, relaxed man that knows how to handle himself and is comfortable in his own skin is more attractive than a guy who wants to buy a womans affection via dinners, flowers, gifts, and so on. Is my friend being scammed?
My friend has been talking to this man from Europe for a couple months via messenger/phone/e-mail. He has sent her flowers, gifts, and said he is coming to visit soon. Everything was going good, until he had a business trip to Africa and his laptop was stolen. He then asked if she would provide money and or a new laptop for a conference he was there attending. He told her he couldn%26#039;t find any %26quot;adequate%26quot; laptops to buy, but I find that hard to believe. My friend is still having trouble deciding how to approach it, because she%26#039;s fallen in love with him and thought his feelings were the same. Any suggestions to what she can say or do to prove he%26#039;s legit.

Why should she have to fork out money for something she will never use? Use caution and common sense.....if it is too good to be true, it isn%26#039;t.

My girlfriend lives with me. Whenever we have an arguement (usually dumb stuff)she will not speak to me for at least a week sometimes two.She once accused me of not taking her calls when in reality my phone never rang and she said she didnt believe me and i said no really n she said i was lying and i hung up on her(yes was childish). I have been friends with a woman now for going on three years , we do every thing together but sex , I am love with her ; however the feelings are not mutual , I try very hard to please her , flowers , gifts , help her with her work and daily tasks around her home . all of the sales are going on this time of year so i need to start getting things together. Any ideas on decorating/flowers/gifts/reception. It is a small wedding 20 people or so. small budget. snowflake theme, silver blue and white colors . thanx

For take home gifts, you could stock up on cheap snowflake ornaments at christmas time--they usually come several to a pack for about $2.00 at places like Target/K-Mart. And they also have glitter on them. Or for take home gifts you could have little maple candy in individual bags.
Also, you could get some frosted candle holders/vases and put white christmas lights (with white cords--you can find them in bridal section at craft stores) and put them in there. They look so pretty--saw this in a Martha Stewart magazine.
Or you can get an arch and weave white branches around it and add the lights there as well. Maybe you can find fake snow and sprinkle it around on the floor--I think that would be neat too.
Can%26#039;t think of anything else right now--but those are the ideas I have. Hope that helps!

Is it possible to love someone that you have only talked with (for over a year) via the phone and net?
I find myself falling in love with a very wonderful man that I have only chatted with over the net and by phone. He calls me every other day and I call him on the days he doesn%26#039;t call me. We talk anywhere from 20 minutes to 45 minutes (long distance). He sends me wonderful gifts, such as flowers, gift baskets, electronical items, etc.
He and I are planning to meet for the first time later this year. I am excited about meeting him, but nervous at the same time. My heart is happy when talking with him, but my stomach has butterflies about meeting him. Let me know what you think about this.

Mothers day is approaching and many many people will be out and about celebrating this day with their Moms, Grandmoms, sisters, wives, etc.
Mothers Day; its the one day I choose to do absolutely nothing; I am a Mom 364 days a year biologically that is, but on that one day, I choose not to celebrate being a Mom, but just being me. I had a guy that bought me a dozen roses every week but he was abusive and a cheater. TV is just that TV. It%26#039;s all scripted. My man is great at helping out around the house and someone I can easily talk to. Who needs flowers that will wither away in a few days. They are cute, but they dont really do much. Sometimes I wish my man could be a little more romantic, but usually it%26#039;s only when I am watching a romantic movie. I%26#039;m thankful he is the way he is. He does complete me! No matter what he is the one I wanna wake up to every morning!

Which rose color should i order for a B'daY present?
Referring to my previous question (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... i can%26#039;t make up my mind which colors should i have my buoquet of roses. I%26#039;m ordering from a shop near me (http://www.amourdefleurs.net/), the%26#039;ve got a few choices for me to choose. Some of my friends have been debating over two: a combination of red %26amp; white or pure red. Please help me out.

Reply:I suggest a boquet not of all roses. but a variety assortment. I personally (not a majority) do not like all roses. try a couple of roses a couple of carnations a couple of Mums or other. See assorments on line. I would steer clear of yello roses as that is %26quot;good bye%26quot; IVORY IS NICE

Gift question for a older gentleman (co-worker of husband) who is undergoing a very serious operation.?
My husband works with a man of retirement age who is going to have open-heart surgery tomorrow. We want to reach out to him and let him know we care but don%26#039;t know if the typical ballons/flowers gift would really mean all that much. If there are those of you out there who have undergone a very serious operation (and are also male) do you have any good suggestions? Just the thought of visiting him when he is going to be in so much pain gives me pause to think he may not appreciate people popping in from work %26quot;to see how you%26#039;re doing.%26quot; I don%26#039;t know-- on the flip-side it%26#039;d be pretty sad if no one did anything and he felt like no one cared. Anyone have experience here that could offer some good advice?

By healthy heart I mean a food that are high in fiber and could help reduce colestrol, there is thing in the market called skinny water, fresh fruits. gourmet oatmeal.....add a cookbook or something with healthy receipes, depend on how much you want to spend you could even add a gift card to wholefoods market, or some other organic food store.
I hope that individual feels better.

I wasn%26#039;t done until the week before Christmas because I kept taking new pictures I wanted to add. My kids and their Nana love to look at them together.
Maybe make with pictures of you and your brothers when you were little.
Does she like coffee? I do this often for my parents for Christmas. Buy a basket..I usually get mine at Michaels but you can get them pretty much anywhere, Walmart or KMart. Buy some gourmet coffee. The store I shop at sells it in little bags and it%26#039;s reasonably priced. They also sell the beans that you can grind yourself right in the coffee isle. She can store the coffee in the freezer until she is ready to use it so it will last. They come in many different flavors.
Line the basket with tissue paper.. Get her a coffee mug
and maybe some good cookies, like Pepperidge Farms. Maybe get a small gift like a picture frame or something.
I got my parents a coffee grinder one year, it was less than $20.00.
Line the basket with tissue paper, put everything in it, and wrap tissue paper around it. You can also get plastic wrap that you can shrink with a blow drier so it fits snug around the basket.
I usually use that metalic stuff that has little stars or hearts or whatever on it. I wrap it around the handle of the basket and get ribbon and make a bow on the top.
You can get plastic wrap in the crafts section that you can shrink to fit the basket with a blow drier. Or just wrap it in tissue paper, gather it together at the top, and tie it with a ribbon. You may need to use tape too to hold it together.
You can do the same thing with almost anything.
