Why steriotypical valentines day gender gifts?

It seems all men want is sex and food. So when people ask these questions about what to get their boyfriend. The best answer people come up with is:

A)Go to his house naked with a pizza

B)Go to his house naked and make him home made pizza

1)Thats not only digrading, but disturbing.

2)Are men really that shallow that all they want on v-day, ...is sex and food?

And why do people assume women want:

A)Cards, flowers, chocolates, and stuff animals

B)To give men slutty sex at the drop of a pin because it's V-day, and to cook them a meal while getting sexed.

Where did all the love go? And why so steriotypical? Jeez and on a day of LOVE why such selfish preconcieved notions?

Why steriotypical valentines day gender gifts?
It is what it is. Lets face it, these are the things that men and women like. Back when I had a girlfriend, I bought her a "sweetheart" teddy bear, a "watch" and a cd titled "the morning after". The card I gave her read something like this; We both wondered how things would be "the morning after". I just want you to know that you are my "sweetheart", but only "time" will tell where this will lead. Lame but different. Think outside the box and don't worry about stereotypical Valentines Day gifts.
Reply:Most people don't know what Valentine's Day is suppose to mean.
