Go to some of the little shops there and find her something. Despite the fact that Iraq is a war zone I bet they make some really pretty stuff. Like a scarf or pottery or anything like that.
Reply:Do like Billy Bob did for Angelina Jolie did and get her a necklace with a vial of your blood. Or a vial of tears that you've cried because you're so far away from her. Too gross and/or corny? Sorry, i'm melodramatic like that...
Reply:First let me say thank you for putting your life on the line everyday for me and our country. Stay safe, I bet that's all she wants.
Reply:Thank you for protecting us. You deserve the much more than we are able to give.
Reply:i know its tough to be away from your wife on your 1st and i thank you from the bottom of mine and my familys hearts. My husband actually made me a shadow box for our first. Just of things that reminded him of me and some pictures. it is really cool and a sweet idea. it hangs in out living room to remind me that even a leaf or a red string made him think about certain memories we had together. I know its corny but hey it might give you some direction.
Reply:have you ever thought of calling her and telling her to go to a certain place( example: a day spa and dont tell her what it is just let her be totally surprised and tell her that because you cant be there to show her how much you love her that she deserves to be pampered, and then when she gets home have a huge bouquet of her favorite flowers with a jar of hersheys kisses and say, "here is a kiss for you for every day im not with you" have someone in your family help you with this idea. my fiance did this for me since he was deployed and i will NEVER forget it... it wasnt anything big or expensive but just from his heart and it was totally cute i thought.. i dont know if this will help but anything from your loved ones when they cant be with you means the world!! i hope you return home safe!!!
