women love being sent gifts and little silly things like cards and teddys but men do not understand this, to a women it shows they care to a man it means spending money!
Why do men not understand that women love being sent flowers,balloons.......?
because men dont think that they should do those things to make a women happy, they think that they can do it some kind of other way then sending flowers and ballons. I like for a man to do that to me because that is just so sweet
Reply:its not exactly like that. the little things in life matter too. i wouldnt mind being showered in petals, but it takes a simple i love you to take a gals breath away aswell
Reply:flowers ok.... but I would feel a prize pratt buying balloons ot teddy bears.... and quite honestly the women I go out with I dont think would appreciate a stuffed toy!
Reply:some men don not know how to treat a lady i do all the houres work for her and pamper her i looking for a nice lady to care for give me a call
Reply:Speak for yourself... I don't appreciate a spendthrift. An occassional book maybe but not cards, teddies or flowers and certainly not chocolates. I would prefer a trip to the pictures any day.
A home made card is fine too as is a home cooked meal.
This isn't a sex thing either because some men like that sort of rubbish too.
Reply:It's not logical to them. If it doesn't serve a purpose, then why buy it? I've found it best to give them a booklet I created. It states in simple and clear terms exactly what makes me happy and what pisses me off. It's up to them to use it or ignore it, so I don't see it as demanding. Everyone I've dated has really appreciated it since it's like an instructor's manual. I figure why make things more difficult than they have to be. He thinks with goals in mind...I'll give him a goal.
Reply:i like cards and letters, but forget all that other stuff. waste of time and money to me. it means more when he put some thought into his gift. i'd rather get flowers he picked off the side of the road or a dinner he cooked himself. just because he spends money does not mean he cares.
Reply:Reminds me of a joke
A young married couple enjoyed a full sex life and she became accustomed to rewarding him between the sheets for any acts of kindness. But he wanted to prove to her that he wanted her for more than just sex so one day,on the spur of the moment,he bought her a huge bouquet of flowers.
"They're lovely." she said before adding suspiciously."I suppose now you will expect me to spend the weekend on my back with my legs apart?"
"Why?" said the husband, puzzled."Haven't we got a vase?"
Reply:Most men are not romantic, you as a woman need to drop subtle hint to let him know. Most guys are afraid, if they do too much this will piss the woman off and if they do too little she will still be pissed, so i guess they do nothing...
Reply:Not all women love getting flowers, my wife hates to see them dying, ask actively ask not to have them!!
Reply:just remember that men are from mars and women are from venus.. he he!
Reply:How often do you buy your husband a set of spanners???
its like to toilet seat syndrome... you like it down, we like it up.. end of argument.
Reply:coz they cant do anything without being told to.
NOTE TO RICHARD G: i give my bloke head all the time without being asked, but i still dont get any sponteneous gifts so wheres the fairness in that?!
Reply:Because they dont like them
Reply:Men do understamd that but choose to ignore!
Reply:I have better gifts to give my women.
Reply:You are generalising a lot. A female friend of mine has said a few times that she doesn't understand why flowers are a good gift and that chocolates are used up too quickly. An ex-girlfriend used to like sending/recieving cards and letters and another couldn't be bothered at all with them. It's different between people.
To partly answer though, it's proberly a mixture of being embarressing to buy those sort of things, not sure if they'd like them, spending money, not worth the bother, always spoiling the women in the relationship while she never does anything in return (sex and foreplay isn't in return, since it can be enjoyed by both) amongst other things.
Reply:Because most of the stuff women like seems to be irrational or illogical. Seems silly to us to buy £30 bunch of flowers which will sit on the telly for 2 days and then die.
Ask for a nice plant or a tree#
Oh and totally agree about getting head. Women are so selfish in bed. All me me me
Reply:and men love getting head.....but how often do we get that? LMAO
Reply:I understand.
Reply:I am a woman. I dont particularly like those things. I would rather my husband be kind, thoughtful, etc...daily..
Candy makes me fat..flowers die..cards and teddys collect dust. And I don't need a diamond as proof. Love is an action word..Show it.
Reply:For the same reason many women don't understand why men like football! It's natural to think that the others like/dislike the same things I like/dislike.
Reply:Ya I KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT BECAUSE I JUST GOT OUT OF THIS RELATIONSHIP AND ALL HE DID WAS GET HIM CRAB
Reply:honey where you going with your teddies and cards - dont you mean diamonds and designer threads!!? xx
Reply:You answered your own question - it costs money!
Men are by their very nature not romantic enough to think about such trivialities ... it interferes with drinking, watching tv and having sex!
But if you tell me your address, I'll send you a nice card ;-)
Just make sure your husband doesn't see it!
Reply:Not really my thing...I don't like getting flowers and Balloons even though I have been in a relationship with that happening...I think that if a guy loves you can show it to you by love and not by buying you expensive things
Reply:they think with a different side of the brain than we do. a real man will go above and beyond to find out what his woman likes and makes her happy whether he understands it or not.
Reply:who says that men don't understand/do this?
i'm a man, and i used to send my g/f cards, then after we got married i started bringing her flowers, or chocs etc at irregular intervals, as surprises
after 14yrs marriage i still do (chocs today)
Reply:mmm. Well I'm a girl and unless I was really into the guy, I would find the gifts creepy.
So to answer your question:fear of rejection.
Reply:Not all women do. I don't need a man to spend money on me, especially when he's buying stuff like THAT. If I want flowers and I can buy them myself, I'm damn sure going to do it! All I want from a man is occasional sex and conversation, and nothing more. So stop generalizing us, dearie.
Reply:Their useless when it comes to that stuff arnt they??!! They dont seem to realise something as simple as a silly little gift would really make our day and show how much they care!!
Surley there are still some men out there that do that, isnt there??Maybe we just havent found one yet!! x

For Valentines Day what are good ideas for gifts and things to do for gf?
I will get her flowers for sure.
For Valentines Day what are good ideas for gifts and things to do for gf?
take into account what your girlfriend is like..what does she like to do?....what things does she like?...what can she do? (in a situation inwhich she still is under the parental units)...what is anything that makes us special?
and bassically, you can never go wrong with the classic flowers, chocolate and a card, and something my bf does for me every holiday is that he has a list of ten things he loves about me and builds on it each holiday, its a really sweet idea, and if she is like me, she will read it over and over again =]
good luck =]
Reply:If any Girls read this i may get a few "Hell Yeah's" anyway here you go. Go to a couple of her favorite stores and buy her gifts then leave her a note in her car or mirror that she has {1st a ticket to Full body rub down, he he}, also on the note that she needs to go to the 1st store to get the second note. which will also have the gift bag{ perfume, ect}, the second note will tell her how much you love her and that she needs to go to a second store like bath and body to pick up another note which has a gift bag also. the note invites her to a romantic dinner for two. do that my man and Its on!!!!!!
Reply:If you just want to buy her a gift jewlery is always a good idea but depending on ur price range you could take her out for a nice dinner or even BETTER make her a candle light dinner urself. Your could set up a little scavenger hunt and have clues lead her to different locations giving her some "piece of the evening" (ex. a piece of chocolate, a blanket for cuddling and things like that) at the end it will lead her to u and the candle light dinner you set up with flowers surrounding the area (which shouldn't cost too much money) after that use that blanket and have some serious cuddling time or whatever you want to do and when she is least expecting it u could give her some type of jewlery or a perfume she's been wanting, something romantic like that. I think that this is the perfect Valentine's Day.
Reply:Depends on your girl actually, some girls like the simple things , (flowers candy, a simple night at the movies) ,others want expensive things, ( pay attention to the Helzberg diamond commercials that begin to air in February ) it's all a matter of taste.
Reply:It depends on how much you are able to spend. What is your budget?
My favorite Valentines day was 2005. My boyfriend showed up at my house with a gorgeous arrangement of 6 pink and 6 red roses and I gave him a basket of goodies(Lots of chocolate, season 1 and 2 of his fave show, and a teddy bear). Then we grabbed some blankets and extra clothes and headed to the beach. We watched the dolphins play, we played in the water, we ran in the sand, and we cuddled under the blankets and watched the sunset. Then I gave him the second part of his gift, a watch. Then we packed up our things and headed to the car. I bent down to pick up one of the bags and when I came up he was standing there with a crescent jewelers bag and a white teddy bear sticking out. Underneath the teddy was a box containing a beautiful white gold bracelet with heart shaped pink sapphires and tiny diamond accents. It was gorgeous. Anyways, then we went to eat at Islands and headed home. It was the best valentines day of my life.
Reply:take her out to dinner, a nice restaurant, nicer than you normally would take her, and maybe one that people usually dress nice. write her a love letter and leave it under her pillow or under her blankets where you know she will find it later, like when she goes to bed and after you leave (coat pocket works too).

Who is sick of seeing questions about valentines gifts for guys?
I mean come on.. you dont get guys flowers, ballons, stuffed animals. Its not that hard to figure out, just get him something he would like as if it was his birthday or christmas. Only you know them and what they like, so quit asking everyone else!
Who is sick of seeing questions about valentines gifts for guys?
I really don't think Valentines Day is the same as a Birthday, I would never spend as much on Valentines day as I do on his birthday or Christmas, or our wedding anniversary, it's supposed to be a token gesture, so maybe people need novel suggestions rather than the same old, same old.
Reply:its hard shopping for guys!!!
Reply:FEDORAS DAMN IT!
Fedoras are always an awesome gift. WHY doesn't anyone believe me?!?!?!?
Reply:I am not... yet... it's easy to answer and it's fun being creative.
Reply:I am having a hard time because I just got my husband everything he wanted for x-mas. There is nothing left to give.

How should i present her with my Valentines gifts?
I'm getting this girl I like flowers, a stuffed animal, and a card for valetines day to seal the deal, to make our relationship official. I'm in highschool, so should i give them to her at school or sneek them in her car so when she leaves school she finds them? This question is directed towards women so i can the opinion of what would be most romantic to them.
How should i present her with my Valentines gifts?
Well it depends how brave you are. You can either give them to her when expected and the only surprise is what the gift actually is or you can surprise her after school. After school is more surprising but it's very risky. Depending on the girl, she could get really upset at the fact all you have to say is happy valentines day. Sad but true even if a girl says she doesn't like attention and to be showered with gifts, it's a lie. Think about it. All day long she is going to see other girls talking and gloating about what their special someone got them. I think you should do both. Give her everything you just talked about that morning but to be even a bigger sweetheart, fill her car with red and pink balloons and write how much you care for her all over her car. She will be so surprised and happy!! I know I was when my boyfirend did something like this for my birthday. All girls really want you to show is that you care and took the time to do something sweet! ;) Good luck!
Reply:put them in her car...she will go all day thinking you didnt get her anything and when schools out she will be so excited:)
Reply:definetly the car idea. it shows her you took the time to get up early and put them in her car. just make sure its unlocked or something and you dont have to break in!
Reply:I don't like either answer. I like to wait until she has gotten home. then I take them to her front door step and leave them in plain sight. Then, i ring the door bell and hide just out of plain sight. The surprise attack of something completely out of the norm is what girls really like. * Note* It is also very important if she thinks that you are going to get her something at school; do so. Just make it something small so as not to overshadow the cool plans for later!
Reply:Lame, Lame and Lame. High school you say? What your proposing sounds like jr. high. How about taking her to dinner (no not McDonalds). Does she really like stuffed animals? How about a gift card to a book store, clothes store, what ever she likes. I understand you probably make $20 a week but if this makes your relationship "official" your plans are not very exciting. You couldn't splurge for tickets to a concert? If this is as important as you say it is, you need to rethink what your doing.
Reply:From a guy's point of view, you need to take her out to dinner! When you go to pick her up, THAT'S when you give her the flowers! You can give her the bear at dinner just before the check arrives!
Why is this question in Marriage %26amp; Divorce and not Singles %26amp; Dating??
Reply:Leave them in her car! Let her cry and be happy in her car and not in the hallway! Sneak them in the car! Good luck!
When you say seal the deal, are you trying to get in her pants? If so, I hope she has enough respect for herself and your relationship to say no, and if you had respect for her you'd wait!
Reply:Don't give her something unless you know you are going to get "something" in return. The relationship ledger has to be balanced.

I need help on thinking about unique gifts to get my mom for mothers day. Can you help!?
she doesnt like necklaces or earings or bracelets. She already has a lot of perfume and she thinks flowers are cheesy
PLEASE HELP!
I need help on thinking about unique gifts to get my mom for mothers day. Can you help!?
A gift certificate to get a massage. Moms love massages. Or a gift card to her favorite store or restaurant so she can treat herself.
Reply:Unique? Why would it have to be unique?
Does she read? Books are always welcome, if you know what she likes and doesn't already have.
How about a movie (assuming she has a way of playing it)?
Or music. What kinds of music does she like?
Does she have any hobbies?
The point of giving a gift is that you give some thought to what would please that person, what that person would enjoy having.
She's your mother, don't you know her?
Reply:Does your mother collect anything of any short such as figurines, cookbooks, cans, or any kind of collection?
If yes then that is always a great gift to give her, then you just need something she doesn't have yet!
If not do you know anything else she likes, Is she into any kind of music such a classical, jazz, pop any kind of artist then you could go through her Cd's and write down what she has and go and ask at the CD store what they could propose to you for someone with that taste
Or maybe something like a spice shelf, frame a picture of the two of you in a pretty frame, or maybe a new bag
If she wouldn't like anything of that, you could also make something for her yourself...can you paint or draw? A beautiful mothers gift would be trying to draw/paint maybe a portrait of her, or something else
you could also give her a card saying how much you love her, and everything she's done for you, or a poem
I don't know how much money you have but you could also take her out for dinner
Hope any of these helped!
